The Williston Public Works Department is participating in the American Public Works Association's "Fill a Public Works Truck" Program.
During the week of May 19-25, 2019, Town Public Works trucks will be collecting donations of non-perishable, in date, food for the Food Shelf.
During the month of May, 2019, Hannaford in Williston has chosen the Food Shelf to be the recipient of $1.00 for each "Fight for Hunger" reusable bag that they sell.
Please consider buying a new bag when you shop!
Please join us for the annual Williston Chowder Challenge on the Williston Village Green - Sunday, September 30 from 12 - 3pm!
As usual, the Williston Community Food Shelf will be participating in Williston's July 4th parade. Please come help us celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Food Shelf. We need walkers! Signs, birthday cake and shirts are provided.
Starting in June when school gets out, the Williston Food Shelf will once again be providing extra bags of food to all Williston and St George families with school age children. Please stop by the food shelf to sign up.
In conjunction with Nationa Public Works Week, the Town of Williston Public Works Department is working to Fill-A-Public Works Truck with Food. Stay tuned to the WIlliston Observer and Front Porch Forum for more specific details. We are not able to accept any food that is out-of-date.
The Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive is sponsored by the National Letter Carriers Association. To participate, leave non-perishable food in your mailbox or at the Post Office, and the Postal Workers will see that the donations get to the Food Shelf.
